Getting Here
We are right alongside the rail trail between Unity Road East and Haldibrook road. Many people spend the day riding the trail and jump off to visit the zoo before continuing on. There are many areas to lock a bicycle and park your off terrain vehicles. Bring a packed lunch and enjoy one of our many picnic areas!
The Haldimand Chippewa trail connects the Hamilton Chippewa trail at Haldibrook Road and runs 2.7 kilometres south along the old Georgia Pacific rail line to Haldimand Road 66 near Caledonia then it will take you off road along the Grand River to the hamlet of York.
Every visit is a new adventure into the animal kingdom.
Please Note:
This is the zoos direct line to the office, there is not always someone to answer the phone right away as we could be busy on the grounds tending to the animals and patrons. Please leave us a message and we will try to get back to you as soon as we can as the machine and messages are checked several times daily. Please email all major inquiries and questions. Thanks so much!

The big cats are just beautiful and they seem to be well taken care of.Posted on Carson SmithTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. They genuinely care about the animals...most important part of any zoo, don't forget it!Posted on Shrinidhi VengatasamyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Worth it for 25 bucks! These animals are loved, well fed and lots of space for them to play. All the questions were answered by the care takers patiently and lots of backstories to understand them nicely.
