Hamilton's #1 Zoo
Come visit us today for a unforgettable experience
1969, Murray Killman bought his first cat. Maggie the Cougar was Murray’s first feline love as he studied her to be able to paint her. As an artist this became one of Murray’s biggest passions and he collected more cougars through the 70’s. Then through the 80’s he expanded to acquire Candy the Jaguar along with Ocelot’s, Bobcats and the Canadian Lynx. Enclosures for the animals were built as needed and thus started the Killman’s Wildlife Sanctuary.

Great place with nice animals ANIL IQBAL2025-06-18Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We love Killman Zoo. There are so many amazing animals like lions, white lions, jaguars, and Siberian tigers. My toddler had the best time and toddler's dream came true to see lions. We went on Fathers Day and the staff were so kind and helpful. They even helped us get a free photo to celebrate. The kids love feeding the goats, sheep, and cows. It looks like the zoo is growing and may have a fox soon. We are excited to visit again. Antonella Sutton2025-06-17Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Nice place to visit. The staffs really integrate the visitors in the programs. We got the chance to feed the animals with the zookeeper who gave us fruits and veg to feed them at lunch time and we also got the chance to celebrate a baboon's birthday. I went for the first time this year and it was honestly so amazing it was such a great experience and we had so much fun I would highly recommend going seeing thr big cats was so surreal George Olds2025-06-16Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Terrific place for families (we were there on Fathers Day). Volunteers keep improving accessibility, building rudimentary ramps where needed, marking roots along the pathways with fluorescent orange paint. Animals were so much closer than at larger zoos. Big variety of big cats, some of which are rescues. And many other species. (See photos.) Highly recommended.
